And the results are in….

I know I promised you all the review of the brand new Canon EF 8-15mm f4.0 lens but I have decided to postpone it a bit because the first one I received had a technical error (could not zoom!) I have just heard that a new one has been shipped to me on Thursday last week.. It should be here soon.. and so should the review…

Ten days ago I asked for your opinion about the contents of this page.. I have received 21 suggestions via email which in total suggested seven new things/features for the site. The most interesting ones are listed below with my comments, views and ideas.

Thanks for reading

Morts

The top-3 suggestions for my blog: (in no particular order)
1) More BTS videos from my studio/shoots This is a great idea and I have decided to do more studio work in the future, which automatically will lead to more BTS/how-to/My-Shot videos.. I have teamed up with Vimeo to get the best possible platform to share my work. First videos should be up in the end of September/start of October (I can already now reveal that it will be from a very interesting shoot in the Copenhagen/Malmo area in Denmark/Sweden.

2) More gear-reviews I would love to! Currently I am working together with the Dutch company REDGED about testing and developing tripods/heads/video equipment which is a collaboration which I really appreciate and enjoy. If I could get samples/hands-on examples of new equipment it would be an easier task.. As things are now, most BIG internet blogs and magazines are getting these samples first, which usually mean that by the time I get around to write an in-depth review there are already more than twenty others online.. I would rather compete on unique and quirky accessories for home-photographers and I will continue doing so.. That said, there might still pop up the odd lens/body review once and a while…

3) Gear Gear Gear This is a funny one! I received six emails all asking for a more in-depth review/run-down of my gear. I already have a dedicated page with this information which can be found here I might consider doing a video-run-through when I get time.

EPIC use of Speedlite flash units: androp

OK I admit it! the blog post today has been seen on several other blogs during the last week but it is simply too good not to re-post!

I am a big fan of speedlites, (small compact external flash units) and have always believed that they could be used for almost all kinds of photography, but this amazing clip featuring the Japanese band ‘androp’ completely knocked my socks off..

250 Speedlite flash units and 250 Canon EOS 60D camera bodies were used to make this video, which is an epic masterpiece if you ask me!

When you have watched it, I recommend you taking a look at the Behind-The-Scenes clip below to see how a professional team works! Envy!

PS. Just realised that they could have saved the 250 camera bodies and just linked up the flash units alone, but I guess that was a part of the deal. (they were supported by Canon Japan)
