Throughout the last fifteen years I have had the outmost pleasure to visit more than 25 different countries on five different continents and I have truly enjoyed every single one of them however some of them have proven to be absolutely amazing for travel photography and I thought I would pass on my five top destinations for the aspiring travel photographer.
I am aware that lists like these are very biased and fairly subjective however, I trust that most people will find the below countries stimulating and hopefully also picturesque and beautiful.

Thanks for reading
The country where I am born and bred – but also a diverse nation with a very appealing countryside combined with a great urban capital which is both scenic and easy to navigate around
They may not be able to beat Germany in football but they made it onto this list and Germany didn’t (this time) so I reckon it’s now even. France has got everything you can wish for; dramatic mountainous landscape, the most romantic little villages and not least..Paris
The home of eight of the worlds 14 8000m mountains Nepal is a cultural in-your-face experience, which is hard to ignore on a list like this. I have been to Nepal many times and I absolutely love it! I cannot wait to go back!
2) New Zealand
If landscape is your name then New Zealand is the game – with more than 3,500 significant lakes and a landscape that created the backdrop for Peter Jacksons ‘Lord of the Rings’ movies this is the top pick for a road trip of a lifetime –oh, and remember to bring your surfboard
Yes, you read correct Myanmar is on top of my list – I went there for more than three weeks last year and I have never in my life experienced a country like it before. To me, currently Myanmar is the most amazing travel destination if you want to take you camera on a little journey; Watch the sun rise above the more than 4,000 temples in Bagan, haggle on the local crafts markets in the villages near Kalaw, spend a night on the banks of Inle Lake…. Myanmar is the dope!
